Valentine’s Day Traffic Stop Leads To Felony Drug Arrest In Jamestown


JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) — A Valentine’s Day traffic stop in Jamestown has resulted in felony drug charges for two Chautauqua County residents.  

Around 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday Celoron resident Amanda Whitford and Gerry resident Aaron Monroe were pulled over on Prather Avenue for an inadequate brake light.  

Following a search of their vehicle police recovered methamphetamine, drug packaging material and two digital scales with drug residue.  





Police also located fentanyl on Monroe’s person and additional meth concealed within Whitford’s bra.  

Both the 28-year-old and 34-year-old were taken into custody and charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
