BUFFALO, N.Y. (WNY News Now) — A Falconer man has been indicted in connection with a cold case homicide.

U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Friday that a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Anthony Neubauer with kidnapping resulting in death.

In May 2014 the 36-year-old man was accused of kidnapping an individual identified as J.A.

Neubauer then allegedly transported J.A. from New York to Pennsylvania, resulting in the death of J.A.

Neubauer was arraigned in federal court and is being held pending a detention hearing on March 28.

The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of life in prison.

The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department, under the direction of Chief Timothy Jackson and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia.
