JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – An Ashville resident is accused of breaking and entering a Jamestown residence over the weekend.

On Saturday Jamestown Police officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress call at a south side address.

Following an investigation, it is alleged Sean Trask broke into the house through a window.

The 52-year-old was arrested by patrol personnel as he attempted to return to the home, walking through the backyard.

Police say Trask, who allegedly provided a false name to avoid being arrested for the crime, was found with a quantity of meth in his possession.

He faces drug and criminal impersonation charges, after the home’s owner decided not to pursue criminal charges for the alleged break-in.
