MAYVILLE, NY (WNY News Now) – Chautauqua County Sheriff James Quattrone has announced an extension of the deadline to apply for the Police Officer examination as law enforcement agencies in the region seek prospective Deputy Sheriffs and Police Officers.
Chautauqua County Sheriff James Quattrone has declared an extension for the application deadline for the Police Officer examination, as law enforcement agencies across Chautauqua County aim to recruit the next generation of Deputy Sheriffs and Police Officers.
The new deadline for application submissions is August 9, 2023. The examination itself is scheduled to take place on September 9, 2023, at the Gerace Office Building in Mayville, NY, conducted by the Chautauqua County Department of Human Resources.
The examination is specifically aimed at filling future vacancies for the positions of Deputy Sheriff in the Chautauqua County Office of the Sheriff and Police Officer in the Towns and Villages of Chautauqua County, City of Dunkirk, and the City of Jamestown.
