
Jamestown, NY (WNY News Now) – On August 2, 2023, at around 12:15 PM officers from the Jamestown Police responded to a residence on the North side of Jamestown following a report of a wanted individual. The subject Andrew Butts (30) had an active felony warrant issued by Jamestown City Court. Upon arrival, officers found Butts accompanied by a female Jamestown resident, who also had an active bench warrant.
On 08/02/23 at approximately 12:15 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a residence on the North side of Jamestown following a report of a wanted subject in the area. The subject in question was identified as Andrew Butts (30) a resident of Jamestown, who had an active felony warrant issued by Jamestown City Court.
When officers attempted to approach the subjects, they fled into the residence. However, the officers managed to locate both individuals inside the house. The female was found hiding in the attic inside a cardboard box, while Andrew was discovered in a crawl space in the same attic.
Further investigation revealed that the female had an order of protection against Andrew. Consequently, Andrew Butts was taken into custody for the active felony warrant, along with additional charges of obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, aggravated family offense, and criminal contempt 2nd. The female was also arrested and charged with obstructing governmental administration.
Both individuals are currently held at Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment.
