
Chautauqua, NY (WNY News Now) – A four month-long investigation into narcotics sales culminated in a successful raid by law enforcement authorities, resulting in the arrest of Jesse L. Erhard (32) and the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs, weapons, and drug paraphernalia.
In a joint operation, narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Dunkirk Police Department, and the City of Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at 6484 S. Portage Rd. in the Town of Chautauqua. The raid targeted a suspected drug distribution center.
Executing the search warrant law enforcement officers apprehended Jesse L. Erhard at the residence. The subsequent search yielded a substantial haul of illegal substances, including 59.8 grams of methamphetamine and 4.3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. Additionally, investigators discovered materials used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, scales, and packaging materials indicative of drug distribution activities.
The operation further uncovered a cache of firearms, including two handguns and eight rifles/shotguns, along with $403.00 in US currency.
Mr. Erhard faces multiple charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and 4th degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine 2nd degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree.
Erhard was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail and awaits further legal proceedings.
