Jamestown, N.Y. – Claire Certo, in her third year as receptionist at Audubon Community Nature Center (ACNC), is excited to extend her role to include hosting First Sunday Story Time, an engaging literary adventure for families.
Certo, holding a degree in early childhood education from Jamestown Community College, has a rich background. During her six years at Jamestown’s James Prendergast Library, she led First Years (0–3) Story Time and conducted story sessions for older children.
“I like to create a fun and casual story time, where everyone is invited,” Certo says. “Regardless of age, connecting children to nature through reading together is a great way to introduce new concepts and gain knowledge about the world around us.”
Families with children aged 2–8 are welcome to the upcoming First Sunday Story Time on September 3, from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Doors open at 12:20 p.m. The event, offering stories and exploration, is free, including Sunday admission.
The program, limited to 15 participants, encourages reservations by September 2. Contact the Nature Center at (716) 569-2345 or visit AudubonCNC.org to secure your spot. Walk-ins are welcome if space permits.
