(WNY News Now) – In a joint operation involving the Jamestown Police Department, Parole Officers, and the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force two residents of Jamestown, NY, were taken into custody on a range of charges, including drug possession and endangering the welfare of a child.

Jamestown – On the morning of October 12, 2023, at approximately 8:07 AM, law enforcement officers were conducting a home visit at 9 King St., Jamestown, NY, at the residence of Samuel L. Arrington. This visit, led by Parole Officers, took an unexpected turn when a shotgun, a white powdery substance, and ammunition were allegedly discovered within the premises. Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force was called in to assist and subsequently applied for a search warrant to thoroughly investigate the residence.

During the subsequent search, law enforcement officers allegedly uncovered a loaded .357 caliber revolver, a 12 GA shotgun, assorted ammunition for both firearms, 107.9 grams of powder cocaine, 119.8 grams of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and $2,301.00 in U.S. Currency. As a result of these findings, Samuel L. Arrington, 41, faced a multitude of charges, including endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of a weapon 2nd and 3rd degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance 2nd and 3rd degree, and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Desire Williams, 32, who was also present during the search, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child due to the presence of a young child in close proximity to the illegal substances. Both suspects were subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Assisting the Jamestown Police Department in this operation were the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and NYS Parole.
