Arrest Made After Unwanted Touching Incident at Saint Bonaventure University

(WNY News Now) – On November 1, 2023, a 30-year-old resident of Roulette, PA, was arrested by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation from SP Olean for Forcible Touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. This arrest followed an incident that occurred on October 31, 2023, at Saint Bonaventure University.

Olean – On October 31, 2023, Jacob J. Tarr, a 30-year-old resident of Roulette, PA, was accused of an alleged act of unwanted touching. At approximately 1:30 P.M., New York State Troopers responded to a complaint regarding an incident of unwanted touching at the university.

The victim, a 19-year-old student, alleged that Tarr had forcibly touched her in a common area of the campus before quickly leaving the scene. Following this incident, an investigation was launched, which eventually led to the arrest of Jacob J. Tarr.


What made the situation even more concerning was the presence of an infant in Tarr’s vehicle at the time of the incident. Consequently, Tarr faced additional charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The 30-year-old suspect hails from Roulette, Pennsylvania, and was not associated with Saint Bonaventure University as a student.

On November 1, 2023, Jacob J. Tarr appeared for arraignment at the town of Allegany Court, where an order of protection was issued as a precautionary measure. Notably, he was released on his own recognizance following the court proceedings.
