Dunkirk Teenager Faces Felony Charges in Connection with Local Burglaries

(WNY News Now) – A 16-year-old from Dunkirk is set to be arraigned on four felony charges related to a series of burglaries investigated by the City of Dunkirk Police Department, occurring between October 28th and November 6th.

Dunkirk- A Dunkirk teenager faces four felony charges linked to a string of burglaries that transpired in the city between October 28th and November 6th. The individual’s identity is being withheld due to their age, and they were issued appearance tickets in accordance with New York State’s Raise the Age Laws.

The charges leveled against the 16-year-old include Burglary in the 3rd degree, Petit Larceny, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, and Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree. The legal proceedings are scheduled to take place in the Chautauqua County Youth Part Court next week.


The Dunkirk Police Department successfully concluded its investigation, and the identification of the juvenile was made possible with the aid of community members. Individuals provided crucial video footage capturing the teenager on their property, enabling law enforcement to establish the connection between the suspect and the series of burglaries.
