(WNY News Now) – A 36-year-old male from the southwest side of the city, is facing charges of Menacing in the 2nd Degree and Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree following an alleged domestic dispute.

Jamestown – On November 17, 2023, at approximately 1:09 PM, officers from the first platoon responded to an ongoing domestic dispute at an address in the southwest side of the city. Upon investigation, it was determined that during a verbal altercation, Daniel G. Galarza, 36, allegedly brandished a 10″ machete, holding it threateningly towards the victim. The victim, in response to this action, experienced a reasonable fear for her safety.

Galarza was apprehended without resistance and subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Due to his prior convictions, he now faces felony charges of Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree and Menacing in the 2nd Degree.
