(WNY News Now) – In an incident on November 17, 2023, at 7:43 A.M., State Police from Batavia responded to a single-vehicle collision on State Route 98 in the town of Batavia.
Batavia – At the early hours of November 17, 2023, State Troopers from SP Batavia swiftly responded to a single-vehicle collision on State Route 98 in Batavia. The incident involved a 2018 Toyota traveling northbound on State Route 98 that veered off the road, colliding with a utility pole and subsequently overturning. The sole occupant and driver, a 39-year-old female, had to be extricated from the overturned vehicle.
Emergency services were promptly deployed, and the injured individual was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries. The Town of Batavia Fire Department played a crucial role in assisting with the investigation and managing the aftermath of the collision.
As of now, the incident remains under investigation, with authorities working to determine the factors that led to the vehicle’s departure from the roadway.
