JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (WNY NEWS NOW) – Dry weather will continue through the first half of Sunday. Widespread rain will develop later on Sunday and continuing through Monday before changing to some light snow Monday Night and Tuesday.

While Saturday will remain mainly dry, there will be more clouds than sunshine as a weak cold front is dragged out across the region.

This front may have enough to put down a few sprinkles, though most areas will stay dry.

High temperatures on Saturday will be in the mid 40’s to lower 50’s.

Rain showers will increase through the day on Sunday and continue into Sunday night and Monday.

This as a East Coast storm system brings impactful weather to our region and the Northeast.

Rainfall totals from Sunday through Monday will reach over an inch, more so across the far Eastern portions of Western New York closer to the track of the storm system.

Colder air will pour over the region later on Monday and into Tuesday changing any rain into light snow.

Snow amounts do not look all that impressive with only a few inches across most areas. Higher totals may be found across the Chautauqua Ridge into Tuesday morning.

Snow showers will tapper off through the day on Tuesday as drier air builds in.

After Tuesday, the rest of next week looks mainly dry with increasing temperatures nearing the 40’s again by the end of the week.

High temperatures to start the week will be in the 40’s Monday, near 30 on Tuesday, and mid 30’s for Wednesday and Thursday.
