On February 10th, 2024, at approximately 11:36 PM, emergency responders from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and South Dayton Fire Department rushed to Dye Road following reports of a motor vehicle accident. Preliminary investigations revealed that a Utility Terrain Vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree. Tragically, the vehicle’s operator, who was the sole occupant, succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation, with further details expected to be disclosed as the investigation continues.
