(WNY News Now) – A 33-year-old Falconer resident faces multiple felony charges following a traffic stop on E. 5th St. in Jamestown at 2:24 am on Feb. 24, 2024.

During a routine traffic stop on E. 5th St., Jamestown, on 2/24/24 at 2:24 am, officers apprehended Corey T. Short for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Short, whose driving privileges were revoked in New York, was arrested without incident. A subsequent check revealed two prior DWI convictions within a decade, elevating the charge to a Class D Felony.

Officers also noted an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle, and it lacked the required ignition interlock device. Short faces charges of Felony DWI, DWI Per Se, AUO 1st, Open Container in MV, and Operating out of Ignition Interlock Restriction. Held pending arraignment, Short awaits legal proceedings in Jamestown City Court.
