(WNY News Now) – On March 13, 2024, two individuals were charged with trespassing in Ripley, NY, following a report to law enforcement about their alleged presence on private property.

Deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, along with Troopers from the NY State Police, responded to a trespassing complaint on North State Street in Ripley, NY. A bystander had reported a male and a female trespassing on a property in the area. Subsequent investigation led to the identification of William J. Burch Jr., 35, and Kathryn M. Burnett, 39, as the alleged trespassers.

Deputies and a NYSP Trooper conducted a search and located Burch and Burnett with the assistance of K-9 Bentley. Both individuals were charged with two counts of trespassing and were processed at the Ripley Substation before being released with appearance tickets for court proceedings at a later date.
