Jamestown, NY – A domestic dispute on April 3rd, 2024, culminated in the arrest of 22-year-old Wilfredo Rivera-Vasquez, who faces multiple charges including criminal obstruction and drug possession.

In the early hours of April 3rd, 2024, Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to a domestic disturbance call on the city’s south side. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Wilfredo Rivera-Vasquez had allegedly choked a female victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. The victim managed to escape to a neighbor’s house, prompting a police response.

During the investigation, Rivera-Vasquez provided false information about his identity to conceal outstanding warrants from Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Village of Fredonia Police Departments. Subsequent to his arrest, a search revealed Rivera-Vasquez in possession of 56.7g of Cocaine, Lorazepam pills, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Rivera-Vasquez faces charges including Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Unlawful Imprisonment, Criminal Impersonation, and multiple counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is currently detained at Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
