A 37-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested by Jamestown Police on charges of Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree after violating a Stay Away Order of Protection on April 4, 2024.
On April 4, 2024, at approximately 6:03 PM, officers from Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd platoon were on patrol on the West Side when they noticed a parked vehicle occupied by two individuals. Upon closer inspection, they identified Sherly E. Rivera inside the vehicle with a male companion. It was known to the officers that a valid Stay Away Order of Protection was in place against Sherly, prohibiting her from contacting the victim.
Rivera was promptly taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Court, where she awaits arraignment on charges of Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree.
