(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A 47-year-old Dunkirk, NY, man was apprehended by Jamestown police on charges of Criminal Trespass and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing following a late-night altercation at a Westside Jamestown residence on May 6, 2024.

Responding to a disturbance call at approximately 11:55 P.M., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon, accompanied by a Nuisance Officer, arrived at the scene to find Kurt C. Struble, 47, allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a resident outside the property. Investigation revealed that Struble had unlawfully entered the residence despite being repeatedly instructed not to do so.

During the altercation, Struble reportedly applied pressure to the victim’s throat, resulting in the victim’s inability to breathe. Struble was promptly arrested near the scene and taken into custody. He is currently being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

The charges against Struble include Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree, indicating his unauthorized entry into the residence, and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, relating to the alleged choking incident.

The precise motive behind the altercation remains undisclosed by authorities at this time.
