A late-night encounter on Jamestown’s west side led to the arrest of a local man on multiple charges.

On the evening of May 30, 2024, at approximately 9:31 pm, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd platoon were dispatched to the west side of the city following reports of a suspicious situation. Upon arrival, they encountered 31-year-old Andres J. Pizarro Campos inside a vehicle.

Officers quickly observed drugs and drug paraphernalia plainly visible on Pizarro Campos’ lap. As officers approached, Pizarro Campos attempted to destroy evidence by ripping open a bag of crack cocaine and disposing of it on the ground. This act led to immediate intervention by the officers.

Pizarro Campos was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He faces charges of tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
