(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – Lily Olson, a past President of the Zonta Club of Jamestown, transformed her empathy into action by establishing Lily’s Hope—a wig boutique designed for women experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions. Inspired by a friend’s observation that patients had to travel to Buffalo or Erie for wigs, Lily envisioned a local solution to alleviate this additional burden.

In November 2010, collaborating with WCA Hospital’s wellness program, the Zonta Club of Jamestown launched Lily’s Hope. This boutique provides free wigs, scarves, turbans, and quilted tote bags, lovingly crafted by a dedicated group of women from Randolph, NY, led by Sylvia Salvaggio. More than just a place to find a wig, Lily’s Hope offers a compassionate space where women can receive emotional support from volunteers who lend a listening ear.

Lily’s Hope continues to thrive, thanks to community donations and the unwavering support of Zonta Club volunteers. Located at UPMC Chautauqua, 207 Foote Avenue in Jamestown, the boutique is accessible by appointment, ensuring personalized and confidential service.

For appointments, call 716-450-1675. Lily’s Hope remains a testament to the power of community and compassion in making a difference in the lives of women facing challenging times.
