(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – Help the Birds Find Their Missing Food by June 10.

Audubon Community Nature Center is calling on nature enthusiasts and amateur detectives alike to solve a pressing mystery. The birds of the forest have woken up to find all their food stolen, and they need your help to find the culprit!

Participants of all ages can take to the scenic trails with a list of suspects to gather clues and interview witnesses. This engaging adventure offers a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings while piecing together the mystery to catch the pesky burglar.

For a $5 registration fee, you’ll receive a Witness Map and Suspect Information sheet, which can be used by your entire group. You can obtain these materials either in person at the Nature Center or by registering online at AudubonCNC.org under Programs and Events.

Don’t miss your chance to play detective and support the local wildlife—the final day to solve the mystery is Monday, June 10. Trails are open from dawn to dusk, and once you’ve cracked the case, visit the reception desk to claim your reward.

The Audubon Community Nature Center, located at 1600 Riverside Road, offers a nearly 600-acre nature preserve with live birds of prey, a native tree arboretum, gardens, picnic areas, and over five miles of trails. The three-story Nature Center building features interactive exhibits, live animals including the Hellbender, and winners of the 2023 Nature Photography Contest. The Blue Heron Gift Shop is also a highlight for visitors.









Building hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Members and SNAP/EBT cardholders enjoy free admission, and building admission is free for everyone on Sundays.
