Jamestown, NY – A high-stakes drug bust at a local apartment has led to the arrest of three individuals and the discovery of significant quantities of illicit drugs.
On June 10, 2024, at approximately 12:20 pm, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the upper apartment of 341 Forest Avenue, Jamestown. The operation was conducted with the support of the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, resulting in the apprehension of Gerald A. Samuels Jr., 18, Janya L. Samuels, 19, and Simeon J. Leeper Jr., 21, who is currently on parole.

Inside the residence, authorities also found a two-year-old child. Following the securement of the apartment, detectives conducted a thorough search and uncovered 12.3 grams of crack cocaine in the kitchen. Subsequently, all three suspects were arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
During processing at the jail, Gerald Samuels was found in possession of an additional 9.2 grams of fentanyl. As a result, he faces multiple charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth and Fifth Degrees, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Both Janya Samuels and Simeon Leeper are also charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. All three suspects are currently held pending arraignment in the Jamestown City Court.
