A routine patrol on Lakeview Avenue led to the arrest of a Jamestown man for narcotics-related charges.

On June 11th, at approximately 3:18 PM, officers from the second platoon observed Shamori L. Houston, 43, walking along the sidewalk. Upon confirming an outstanding warrant for his arrest from a neighboring agency, officers approached Houston. In an attempt to evade further charges, Houston allegedly discarded a pill bottle containing fentanyl.

Houston was promptly taken into custody without further incident. He is currently being held at the city jail, pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. Houston faces charges of Tampering with Physical Evidence and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.
