3. Public Safety Investments:

  • Purchase of three covert surveillance cameras for the police department at $22,644.
  • Lifting the hiring freeze to allow the hiring of four full-time firefighters and one public works laborer.
  • Agreement with Chautauqua County to utilize a mobile health vehicle for community events and services.

4. Public Health Initiatives:

  • A proposed ordinance to ban smoking, including electronic cigarettes and cannabis, in city parks, recreation areas, and other public properties to protect public health and welfare.
