BUFFALO, N.Y. — U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that Tracey Wynn, 42, of Jamestown, NY, has been sentenced to 24 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara for her involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti stated that Wynn conspired to possess and distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine between September 2018 and January 2019. Wynn, a known associate of convicted drug trafficker Douglas Beardsley, sold methamphetamine supplied by Beardsley on four separate occasions to an individual cooperating with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

The investigation into Wynn’s activities intensified on August 7, 2017, when a search warrant executed at her residence led to the discovery of methamphetamine, approximately $347 in cash, drug paraphernalia, and evidence indicating the presence of children. Further scrutiny followed an October 23, 2019 traffic stop, where Wynn was found driving with a suspended license. The search of her vehicle revealed two digital scales, one of which contained crystal methamphetamine.

Wynn was arrested and, during a subsequent search at the jail, authorities found a bag of marijuana in her sweatshirt and plastic bags of methamphetamine on her person. Douglas Beardsley, her associate, has already been convicted and sentenced.

The investigation was conducted by the Jamestown Police Department, led by Chief Timothy Jackson, the DEA, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Frank Tarentino, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), overseen by Special Agent-in-Charge Bryan Miller.
