(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – A Jamestown resident was arrested on a warrant and allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine during a routine warrant check.

On June 29, 2024, at approximately 6:49 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department apprehended Lovella A. Kellom, a 37-year-old resident of Jamestown, at the intersection of W 2nd Street and N Main Street. The officers, who had prior knowledge of an active arrest warrant for Kellom, observed her at the location and took her into custody without incident.

During the arrest, officers discovered that Kellom was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. As a result, Kellom was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, in addition to the arrest warrant.

Kellom is currently being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, Kellom is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
