Jamestown Residents Arrested After Fleeing Domestic Incident

(WNY News Now) – On July 4, 2024, at approximately 4:26 PM, officers from the 2nd platoon responded to a domestic dispute in progress on the north side of Jamestown. The incident led to the arrest of Charles LS Cooper Sr, 18, and Anikka G. Coulter, 20, both residents of Jamestown.

Upon arrival, officers determined that Charles and Anikka were involved in a domestic altercation. During the dispute, the suspects got into a vehicle with a 1-year-old child and struck a 15-year-old juvenile. They also attempted to hit another individual with the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Shortly after, authorities located and apprehended both suspects. Charles LS Cooper Sr faces charges of 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree and 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Anikka G. Coulter is charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, as she violated a stay-away order of protection during the incident.

Both suspects are currently held in the Jamestown City Jail, pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, Cooper Sr. and Coulter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
