(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – On July 10, 2024, at approximately 12:00 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a reported domestic dispute on Wescott St. A distressed call from a female was abruptly disconnected, prompting immediate police intervention.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a visibly shaken woman inside the residence. She reported that Ryan J. Freeman, 24, of Jamestown, had physically assaulted her by choking and obstructing her attempts to call the police.
Freeman was promptly arrested and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and criminal obstruction of breathing. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
