(WNY News Now) – Rochester, NY – Danielle Hampton, 50, of Rochester, NY, has been convicted by a federal jury for maintaining a drug-involved premises, a charge that carries a potential penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
The conviction follows an investigation led by the Greater Rochester Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (GRANET). In September 2021, GRANET began probing drug trafficking activities at 304 Adams Street, Rochester. Investigators conducted controlled purchases of cocaine from the residence, culminating in a search warrant execution on November 18, 2021. During the search, authorities recovered a loaded firearm, 9 grams of crack cocaine, $571 in cash, and drug paraphernalia. Hampton, found inside the residence with two children present, was immediately taken into custody.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Katelyn M. Hartford and Nicholas M. Testani, with contributions from Homeland Security Investigations, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and Rochester Police Department.
Sentencing is set for October 9, 2024, before U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr.
