(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – The Jamestown Police Department is currently investigating 2 gunshot incidents which occurred within an hour in Jamestown, leaving one injured.

On August 3, 2024, at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a gunshot complaint in the vicinity of Lafayette Street and Isabella Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered several shell casings and promptly secured the scene.

Around 7:25 p.m., a male victim arrived at UPMC Chautauqua with a gunshot wound. The injury was non-life-threatening, and the victim has since been released after receiving treatment.

Later, at 8:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to another gunshot complaint, this time in the area of Columbia Avenue. Investigations revealed that rounds had struck a residence, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Both incidents are currently under investigation by the Investigative Section of the Jamestown Police Department. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the department at 716-483-7537 or leave a confidential tip at 716-483-8477.
