(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – A late-night stabbing on Bruce Street leaves a man in his 60s injured and uncooperative, prompting an ongoing investigation by Syracuse Police.

On Wednesday, August 7th, at approximately 11:18 p.m., Syracuse Police responded to a stabbing incident in the 300 block of Bruce Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male in his 60s suffering from a stab wound to the chest. Despite his injuries, the victim was notably uncooperative with the authorities and initially refused medical treatment.

Eventually, the man was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he was treated for his wound and subsequently released. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing remains active, with detectives working to piece together the events that led to the incident.

Syracuse Police are urging anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward. Tips can be directed to the Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
