(WNY New Now) – Frewsburg, N.Y. – Is your child’s car seat secure? Don’t risk their safety—get it checked for free this Wednesday in Frewsburg.
The Town of Carroll Police Department, in partnership with the Chautauqua Safety Village, is hosting a free child car seat safety check event this Wednesday, September 4th, 2024. Certified technicians will be on-site to inspect and ensure that your child’s car seat is properly installed and fitted. The event will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Carroll Police Department, located at 5 West Main Street in Frewsburg.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to stop by to have their car seats inspected by experts trained in child passenger safety. Improperly installed car seats can put children at risk in the event of a crash, and this event provides a convenient opportunity to ensure your loved ones are traveling as safely as possible.
This community service is being offered at no cost, and no appointment is necessary. The event is made possible through funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with support from a grant provided by the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
