(WNY News Now) – A Portville resident was apprehended by New York State Police and transferred to Cattaraugus County custody following an outstanding warrant.
Olean, N.Y. – At approximately 6:00 PM on October 23, 2024, Tahje Sayles, a 23-year-old resident of Portville, NY, was arrested by New York State Police on an outstanding warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest occurred on Homer Street in Olean, where officers took Sayles into custody without incident.
Following his arrest, Sayles was transferred to the custody of Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Deputies and is currently being held at the Cattaraugus County Jail. He is awaiting a court appearance in the Town of Cattaraugus County, where he will face charges under CPL 120.60. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
