(WNY News Now) – Sheriff Eric A. Butler of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Scott R. Hammond, 34, of Olean, NY, on December 3, 2024, at approximately 1:45 PM. The arrest took place at 1 Leo Moss Drive in Olean, the location of the Sheriff’s Office.
Hammond was taken into custody on a New York State Parole warrant. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he remains remanded while awaiting further judicial proceedings.
Hammond faces charges related to the parole warrant. No bail was set, and the case will proceed under the jurisdiction of the Cattaraugus County Court, presided over by Judge Ploetz. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
