(WNY News Now) – A 20-year-old Jamestown woman was arrested for felony criminal contempt after violating a court order during a domestic dispute early Monday morning.
At approximately 2:00 AM on January 1, 2025, officers from the Third Platoon responded to a domestic dispute on the West Side of Jamestown. Upon arrival, law enforcement determined that the individual involved, Annika Coulter, 20, had been present at the residence where the altercation took place, in the company of her child. However, Coulter was under a court order to stay away from this location and individuals involved.
As officers investigated the scene, they learned that Coulter’s presence at the residence was in direct violation of a standing order of protection, which led to her arrest on charges of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree. This charge is classified as a felony due to a recent conviction for a similar violation.
Coulter was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she was held pending her arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
