(WNY News Now) – HAMBURG, NY — A 39-year-old Hamburg man was taken into custody on a felony arrest warrant on Saturday, January 18, 2025, following coordination between Niagara Falls Police Department and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Wesley W. John, of Salamanca, NY, was apprehended after being identified by Niagara Falls Police during an encounter. Authorities determined that John had an active felony warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court.
Following his arrest, John was transferred to the custody of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. He was subsequently booked and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
