(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, N.Y. — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Buffalo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, for Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, and Southern Erie Counties.

Mixed Precipitation Expected

According to the advisory, snow, sleet, and freezing rain will impact the region, with total snow and sleet accumulations of one inch or less and ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch.

Hazardous Travel Conditions

Motorists should prepare for slippery road conditions, especially during the Thursday morning commute. Reduced visibility and icy surfaces may lead to dangerous travel situations.

Safety Precautions

Drivers are advised to slow down, use caution, and allow extra time for travel. The NWS encourages residents to report snow and ice conditions through their website or social media.
