(WNY News Now) – Redhouse, NY – A traffic stop in the early hours of February 4 led to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in Michigan, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Joseph Desbian, 53, of Salamanca, was taken into custody at approximately 3:40 a.m. after deputies discovered he had an active felony warrant with full extradition from Michigan.
Desbian was arrested without incident and arraigned in the Town of Little Valley Court. He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail as he awaits further legal proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
