(WNY News Now) – PORTVILLE, NY – A 26-year-old Cuba man was taken into custody late Friday night on an active warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
According to authorities, Caleb J. Kessler was initially located by New York State Police Amity on February 7, 2025, at approximately 11:39 p.m. Upon confirming the outstanding warrant, state police transferred Kessler to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office at 55 S. Main St. in Portville.
Following processing, Kessler was transported to the Town of Portville Court for arraignment. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date for further proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
