(WNY News Now) – A concerned parent contacted WNY News Now with allegations that their child was physically dragged through the hallway by a teacher at Holy Family Center in Jamestown, as well as allegations of prior abuse.

Jamestown, N.Y. – Allegations of child abuse have been brought forth against Holy Family Center, an early education center located at 1135 N Main St. in Jamestown.

A concerned parent contacted WNY News Now, alleging that they had been notified by the school at 12:33 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 regarding an incident involving their child and a teacher that occurred earlier that morning.

It is alleged that at approximately 9:00 a.m., a teacher was carrying the child in question up the stairs while leading a group of children with another teacher. After setting them down once they reached the top of the stairs, the teacher then allegedly tried to grab the child’s hair, only for the child’s hat to fall off. The teacher then, after checking to make sure no other teachers were watching, grabbed the child’s coat and backpack and proceeded to drag the child across the hallway.

The parent stated that the second teacher present claims to have not seen the event transpire, though they allegedly held the door open as the teacher dragged the child through the doorway.

However, this was allegedly not an isolated incident. The parent stated that when the teacher was the child’s primary teacher last year, their child kept coming home from school with unexplained bruises, which the school would not notify them of, stating that the bruises must have occurred at home. The parent said that they took a picture of their child before leaving for school one day showing no bruising, only for the child to return home that day with a bruise on their face.

Additionally, the parent alleged that they were told that the teacher in question had previously been suspended, but was not terminated due to lack of definitive proof.

The parent said that the school contacted CPS following the incident on Tuesday, and the parent has begun the process of contacting JPD to press charges against the teacher and procure an order of protection for their child.

When contacted by WNY News Now, Holy Family Center declined to comment.
