(WNY News Now) – Mayville, NY – A Lakewood man was arrested for trespassing at a secure Chautauqua County facility on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a male attempting to gain entry into a restricted area around 2:04 p.m. on March 12, 2025. Upon arrival, deputies located and identified the suspect as 45-year-old Thure J. Fransen of Lakewood, NY.
Fransen was found in an unauthorized area and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree.
Following his processing, Fransen was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
