(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, N.Y. — Two individuals were arrested on multiple drug-related charges in Olean following an investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
On March 12, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., law enforcement officers stopped a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Dillan Leavitt of Allegany, N.Y., on North 12th Street. The traffic stop led to the discovery of suspected crack cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and U.S. currency.


Leavitt and his passenger, 41-year-old Marcus Turner of Olean, N.Y., were taken into custody and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell a narcotic drug, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

The arrests resulted from an ongoing investigation into drug activity in the Olean and Allegany areas. The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, which includes members of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Salamanca Police Department, and Olean Police Street Crimes Unit, conducted the operation with additional support from the Olean Police Department and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Both suspects were processed and are being held pending arraignment. Authorities continue to investigate. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
