(WNY News Now) – A 32-year-old East Aurora resident was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs after a traffic stop on Jamestown’s south side.
JAMESTOWN, NY – On April 11, 2025, at approximately 9:34 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon conducted a traffic stop that led to a DWAI arrest.
According to police, officers were patrolling the south side of the city when they observed a vehicle committing both a vehicle equipment violation and a moving violation. The vehicle was subsequently stopped by officers for further investigation.
The driver, identified as 32-year-old Codijames Ceranski of East Aurora, was determined to be under the influence of drugs during the stop. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Ceranski was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and several traffic infractions. He was later released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
