(WNY News Now) – A 35-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested early Tuesday morning following a trespassing complaint and brief foot chase on the city’s south side.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – On June 3, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to a reported trespass at a residence on the city’s south side.

Upon arrival, officers located Marcus A. Mcaffee, 35, inside the building. Police determined Mcaffee had previously been removed from the property about a year ago and was not permitted to return.

When officers informed Mcaffee he was under arrest for criminal trespass, he allegedly resisted by pulling away and attempting to flee on foot. Officers quickly pursued and brought Mcaffee to the ground, where a struggle followed. He was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Mcaffee was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree and Resisting Arrest. He was later released on an appearance ticket in accordance with New York State Bail Reform laws.

Mcaffee is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
