(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY — On June 16, 2025, Michael A. Vinopal, 47, a resident of Warren, Pennsylvania, was arrested after a traffic stop by Jamestown Police revealed outstanding warrants and illegal drugs.

At approximately 8:33 p.m., officers conducted a motor vehicle stop at a Northside location for moving violations. Upon identifying the driver as Vinopal, officers discovered he had an active fugitive warrant from Crawford County, Pennsylvania. Further investigation uncovered possession of fentanyl, leading to additional charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

Vinopal was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He faces charges of fugitive from justice, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and traffic violations. Vinopal remains held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
