(WNY News Now) – An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition following a collision with a pickup truck in Jamestown on Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 17, 2025, emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Willard Street and Kinney Street after reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a young bicyclist. Officers and detectives from the Jamestown Police Department responded to the scene, assisted by the Jamestown Fire Department and Alstar Ambulance Service.

The injured child was initially transported to UPMC Chautauqua and later airlifted to Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, where he remains in critical condition.

According to authorities, the driver of the pickup truck remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.

The Jamestown Police Department is leading the investigation in coordination with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department Accident Reconstruction Team. The case remains open as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
