(WNY News Now) – A late-night traffic stop on Route 353 in Salamanca led to the arrest of a Killbuck man on multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation.

SALAMANCA, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that 31-year-old Jesse S. Jimerson of Killbuck, New York, was arrested during the early morning hours of June 15, 2025, following a traffic stop on Route 353 in the Town of Salamanca.

Deputies initiated the stop at approximately 1:13 a.m. after observing traffic violations. During the investigation, Jimerson was determined to be driving while intoxicated. Authorities say a chemical test confirmed his blood alcohol content was at or above 0.08%.

Further checks revealed that Jimerson was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. As a result, he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or More, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, and Speed in Zone.

Jimerson was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was released with an appearance ticket and several uniform traffic tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Salamanca Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
