Residents Urged to Prepare as Feels-Like Temperatures Near 95 Degrees

(WNY News Now) – A heat alert has been issued for several counties across upstate New York, with feels-like temperatures expected to reach as high as 95 degrees on Monday, June 30, 2025. The advisory covers Erie, Chautauqua, Livingston, Monroe, Allegany, Steuben, Chemung, Delaware, Otsego, Onondaga, Oswego, Oneida, Madison, Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, and Essex Counties.

Key Safety Recommendations Include:

  • Keep children and pets indoors with air conditioning when possible.
  • If you must be outdoors, wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing and a hat.

  • Extremely high body temperature
  • Red, hot, and dry skin with no sweating
  • Rapid and strong pulse
  • Dizziness, confusion, or loss of consciousness
