(WNY News Now) – SALAMANCA, NY — A Salamanca resident was taken into custody on two active bench warrants and transferred to the Olean Police Department for further proceedings.

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at approximately 4:59 p.m., Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies located and arrested 37-year-old Drew M. Williams at a residence on Old Route 17 in the Town of Salamanca. Williams was wanted on two outstanding bench warrants issued by the New York State Police in Olean and the Olean City Police Department.

Following his arrest, Williams was transported to the Olean City Police Department and turned over to their custody for arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
